Wow! Thank you Vicenza Military Community.
After reorganizing the VCC and getting all of the legal ducks in a row, the VCC happily reopened the Vicenza Thrift Store on May 7. Sales for the day reached more than $2,500…that means more dollars for community engagement, philanthropy, education and programs. We earmark 80% of store profit after salaries and overhead for philanthropy efforts and use 20% for programs and community events. We rely on high quality donations from the Vicenza Military Community to drive the life-cycle of our operations. We truly appreciate everyone’s ongoing support through donations and volunteering. We are successful because of you.
The Thrift Store welcomes any VCC active-duty member or family member from age 12 on up. Volunteers must meet all ACS requirements for volunteering and register in VMIS via MyArmyOnceSource. Additionally, we encourage community groups, FRGs, teens and other job-seekers looking to get experience for college applications and resumes to consider applying on a selection basis.
