We will offer a high quality resale experience to benefit the Vicenza Military Community. In partnership with the community, we will build relationships with other private organizations and military supportive groups. We will be fiscally mindful of the resources made from the generous donations of the community and will strive to monetarily and socially support this place we call home.

Please bring all donations to the rear of the store to our donation center. We ask that clothing donations be separated into bags from household items. Electronics will be tested and some larger items may not be accepted due to space constraints.
WHO WE ARE
The Thrift Store is a subsidiary of the Vicenza Community Club, Inc. We rely on high quality donations from the Vicenza Military Community to drive the life-cycle of our operations. Donations come in, are sold and the revenue is used to pay limited contract staff and then transferred to the VCC for community engagement, philanthropy, education and programs. 80% is earmarked for philanthropy efforts and 20% is available for programs and community events.
Starting with the June 1, 2019 fiscal year, we pledge that:
- VCC funds segregated into the welfare account will be used for Community Enrichment grants, multi-year community projects, Bright Eye stipends, GED reimbursements and annual scholarship awards. Annual carryover should be limited to $20K when possible.
- VCC operational funds will be used to help plan events such as the annual CIAO conference, monthly luncheons and other programming that supports community outreach, networking and shared resources. Annual carryover should be limited to $20K
WHO CAN VOLUNTEER
The Thrift Store welcomes any active member or family member of the VCC, ages 12 and up. Volunteers must meet all ACS requirements for volunteering and register in VMIS via MyArmyOnceSource.
In addition, community groups, FRGs, teens and other job-seekers looking to get experience for college applications and resumes may be considered on a volunteer application basis.
We look forward to seeing you soon at the VCC Thrift Store.
WHO CAN SHOP
The Thrift Store is governed by Army in Europe Regulation 210-22 and other Private Organization Fundraising and USAG Italy guidelines.
All those with independent gate access to Caserma Ederle are allowed to shop at the Thrift Store.
We hope to resume consignment services when our fiscal year resets on June 1, 2019. Our new program will look quite different so stay tuned for more details.
DONATION & MERCHANDISE LOAN REQUEST
One way we can support the community is by donating merchandise for local events and activities. Examples would be to put together a prize basket, help with a fashion show or loan decoration items for your event. To request items from the thrift store to be used by your group or charity, please download and complete the Request Form. (Save the PDF form to your computer before you begin to fill it out.) After it is complete, please email the form to email@example.com.
