Welfare

The Vicenza Community Club’s mission is to support worthwhile services and community projects by fairly and equitably distributing monies made from both fund raising activities and from at least 70% of the net profit from the VCC Thrift Shop. Through Community Enrichment grants and programs, the Bright Eyes Program, and scholarships, the VCC is able to give back to our community as a whole.

Where the money goes:

  • The VCC awards Community Enrichment grants to other private organizations, schools, scouts, sports teams, FRG’s and many military programs in the Caserma Ederle Community that are allowed to solicit funds.
  • The VCC provides Commissary Gift Cards to support official events by organizations within the community.
  • For those organizations that are not allowed to solicit funds, VCC uses a survey to determine the needs of the organization and how the Community Enrichment Program can help.
  • The VCC provides Emergency Funding to individuals within the community who are in significant need, as determined by the Community Enrichment Committee.
  • The VCC is the sole sponsor of the Bright Eyes program which helps offset the cost of one pair of glasses per child in qualifying families. The program is administered through School Support Services.
  • The VCC provides scholarships to graduating VHS seniors and to students returning to college and university programs.
